Late this afternoon at Humphrey's Mills one man was killed and another seriously injured. One man went to work there this afternoon for the first time. It appears that the forms of a concrete roof were being taken down when the entire roof fell burrying one man below. A steam pipe was broken by the falling debris and filled the place with steam. One man whose name is also unknown at present had his leg broken and was otherwise injured. The injured man is being taken to the hospital.

LATER –Yvon Leger of Memramcook is the name of the man who was killed. Arthur LeBlanc, of Sunny Brae, is the injured man.

The deceased is described as a popular young of exemplary character, and was well liked by all who knew him. He had been recently (4 février 1919) married to a Miss Bourgeois, residing at or rear his home. Naturally the sad occurrence deepens with this circumstance.

He was a son of Mr. Patrick Leger, his father being at the present time employed in the city.

Shortly after the accident, Reverend Hector Belliveau, of L’Assomption Church, reached the scene and gathering the news of the tragedy imparted the same to the deceased's relatives.
